Helen Maxine Garlin passed away February 12, 2010, in Crescent City. She was born on March 7, 1917, in Stanley, Wisconsin, to Ernest and Leatha Holderman, the second of nine children.
She moved to Los Angeles during WWII and worked for North American Aviation painting aircraft.

 Thomas Anthony Haban Thomas Anthony Haban, born December 29, 1922, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on February 18, 2010, surrounded lovingly by his wife and nine children.
Tom graduated St. Mary’s High School in Columbus, Ohio, Class of 1941; he served three years in the U.S. Navy in World War II at Guadalcanal; he graduated from The Ohio State University, School of Music, Class of 1950 with a degree in Education. He was an accomplished musician and a music educator for almost 40 years. He was always a favorite among the students and was well liked and respected by fellow faculty members.

 Edgar Leon Tucker Edgar Leon Tucker, 64, passed away at his home February 17, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Edgar “Eddie” Tucker was born July 24, 1945 in Prague, Oklahoma, to Harold and Loye (West) Tucker. His family moved to California when Eddie was a baby. He grew up in Southern California in the communities of Piru and Fillmore where he had many cherished memories of living in these small towns.
Eddie graduated from Fillmore High School in 1964. Shortly after, he joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego where he served his country for two years. He was honorably discharged from the military and settled in Bakersfield, Calif. While living there, he worked as a delivery man for an office supply business and in the oil fields for several years.

 Keith Gerald Richcreek Keith Gerald Richcreek, 85, of Crescent City passed away on Feb. 19, 2010, in Myrtle Creek, Ore. He was born in Jamestown, N.D. on November 3, 1924, to Art and Bertha Richcreek.
He joined the Army directly out of high school and represented the United States in World War II.
