John Herbert Buckle was born in Yorkshire, England, on August 18, 1927, and passed away in Crescent City, on October 24, 2011, at the age of 84 years. “Dad, he’s a pearl. He has been beaten and scarred by many trials. Tossed around and broken. But, has come through; as a small tiny gem, a pearl of great value. For our God has allowed adversities, to have their perfect way. Molding and scarring and perfecting in his own way. Without the battle scars, there would have been no pearl; round, smooth and shiny. Matured an example of his enduring faith. Now he’s walking inside those golden gates.” — As quoted by his daughter Renee.
