"Shop with a Hero"

On Saturday, Dec. 17, the Rotary Club of Crescent City partnered with Wal-Mart and Rural Human Services to provide the “Shop with A Hero” program allowing eligible children to experience the joy of buying presents for loved ones. The “heroes” were local fire department personnel and volunteers, police and sheriff officers, ambulance paramedics, EMTs and staff and military servicemen and women. The program was a huge success due to all those who volunteer — “heroes,” Wal-Mart Santa and employees, Boys Scouts of America and Crescent City Rotarians.
