Active Living Expo for seniors on Saturday

•What: Active Living Expo IV

•When: 9 a.m.-5:00 p.m. June 9

•Where: Ship Ashore Resort, Smith River

•Directions: From Crescent City, take U.S. Hwy. 101 north to

Chinook Street; turn left and follow street to parking lot. From

Brookings, take U.S. Hwy. 101 south to Chinook Street; turn right and

follow street to parking.

•Parking: Lots are at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 101 and Chinook

Street and at the west end of Chinook Street.

•Cost: Free (does not include food)

If you're a senior wondering about how to lead a healthier lifestyle, making sound financial decisions or looking for fun activities, you'll want to attend the fourth annual Active Living Expo on June 9 at Ship Ashore Resort in Smith River.

Presented by The Daily Triplicate and the Curry Coastal Pilot, the Active Living Expo offers workshops and demonstrations, entertainment and good food:

•Workshops – So many activities and workshops are planned for this year's Active Living Expo, that guests will be able to attend them back to back.

This year's workshops focus on health, finances and recreation that promotes active lifestyles.

•Entertainment – Between attending the seminars, Active Living Expo guests will have entertainment provided all day long. The expo features a car show, U.S. Coast Guard helicopter flyover, windsurfing demonstration and dance demonstrations.

•Food – Guests attending this year's Active Living Expo at Ship Ashore Resort will be leaving with bellies full.

Among the highlights this year: a continental breakfast, wine and cheese tasting, and BBQ lunch.
