Art demo today at gallery
Sara Broderick will give a free oil painting demonstration at noon today at Crescent Harbor Gallery, preceded by a potluck. Broderick, who teaches art classes at both College of the Redwoods, Del Norte, and Southwestern Oregon Community College and holds “drop-in Fridays” at Wright’s Custom Framing in Brookings, works in several media, including watercolor, oil, pastel and ceramics.
The gallery’s artist of the month for July is Crescent City artist Pauline Holmes, who in addition to being a painter, mainly in acrylic, wears other hats as well — as a psychologist, radio broadcaster and a writer. A sampling of her work is currently on display, along with pieces by other gallery members.
“Creative Mondays” are currently being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Monday. For more information, visit 140 Marine Way, or call 464-9133.
