Del Norte High seniors Sammy Chan, left, and Dalton Bradbury, right, stand with Del Norte County sheriff’s Deputy Seth Cimino at the annual Boys State event at California State University, Sacramento. Another Del Norte student, David O’Connel, also attended, along with top students from almost every high school in the state. They learned about government, even forming their own “counties” over the course of the week. Cimino attended Boys State at age 17, and uses vacation time to return each year as a counselor.
