Two local U.S. Naval Sea Cadets from the Nathan Bruckenthal Division in Crescent City were among 30 cadets who recently completed seven days of leadership training at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Ore., earlier this month. Cadets Constance Taylor and Patrick White participated in the training and are part of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps program, a non-profit youth organization to develop young adults through partnership with the U.S. Military with no obligation to join any service. The cadets are provided a drug, alcohol, and gang free environment to develop independence, self reliance and leadership skills.
