Caltrans roadwork may cause delays this week

California Department of Transportation is working on the following projects this week in Del Norte and Humboldt counties.

Del Norte County

•U.S. Hwy. 101 from milepost 203-23.6, a median barrier project from Mill Creek Park to 0.9 miles north of Hamilton Road continues between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect and motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

•U.S. Hwy. 199 from milepost 10.0-12.0, the Hardscrabble Creek Bridge replacement project continues between 6 a.m.-6 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect, and motorists should expect 15-minute delays.

From milepost 25.4-28.1, the curve realignment project from Siskiyou Fork to Idlewild Maintenance Station Roads continues between 7 a.m.-4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control is in effect with a temporary signal working 24/7. Expect 5-minute delays.

Humboldt County

•Hwy. 101 at milepost 5.6, the Edward C. Wagner Bridge rehab project begins Tuesday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane each way, with minor traffic slowdowns anticipated.

From milepost 32.5-32.9, hillside stabilization continues between ).3-).7 miles south of Weott. Traffic is one-way each direction 24/7, and minor slowdowns are expected.

From milepost 39.8-43.0, sink hold repairs continue at about 2 miles north of Redcrest. Traffic is one-way each direction 24/7 and minor slowdowns are expected.

At milepost 40.2, a fish accessibility project continues at Chadd Creek, which is 0.7 miles north of Redcrest. Work is done between 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m., weekdays. North-bound traffic is restricted to one lane, with minor traffic slowdowns expected.

From milepost 54.6-57.7, the Van Duzen River Bridge replacement project continues between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays, with traffic restricted to one lane each way 24/7 and minor traffic slowdowns expected.

From milepost 63.0-71.0, a median barrier project continues between Finch Creek and Tompkins Hill Roads between 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. Traffic is restricted to one lane each way 24/7, with minor traffic slowdowns expected.

From milepost 64.1-64.5, pavement work continues on the Singley Road/Fernbridge off- and on-ramps, which will be closed intermittently. Use an alternate route.

From milepost 65.8-66.1, pavement work continues on the Loleta Drive off- and on-ramps between 6 a.m.-11 p.m. weekdays. The ramps will be closed intermittently, and motorists should use an alternative route.

From milepost 68.0-68.1, pavement work continues between 6 a.m.-11 p.m. on the Hookton Road off- and on-ramps. The ramps will close intermittently, and motorists should use an alternate route.

From milepost 70.7-70.8, pavement work also continues on the Tompkins Hill Road off- and on-ramps between 6 a.m.-11 p.m. weekdays. The ramps will close intermittently and motorists are urged to find an alternate route.

From milepost 78.8-79.0, signal work continues on 5th Street between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays. Northbound traffic will be restricted to two lanes, a sidewalk will be closed and motorists may experience minor slowdowns.

•U.S. Hwy. 299 from milepost 6.1-6.3, drainage work takes on Elgars road Tuesday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. Minor slowdowns are possible.

From milepost 8.7-9.0, pavement repair happens from 0.7 east to 1.6 miles east of the truck scale house between 7 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic is in effect and 10-minute delays are probable.

•At milepost 22.3, the rehab of Redwood Creek Bridge continues from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. One-way traffic is in effect and 10-minute delays are possible.

From milepost 27.0-29.2, a drainage repair project occurs between 0.4 miles west of Three Creek Road to 0.1 miles west of Titlow Hill Road between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
