Chanukkah party planned for Dec. 24

Temple Beth Shalom will hold a Chanukkah party at the Coast Guard Auxiliary building on Marine Way in the Crescent City Harbor on Saturday, Dec. 24, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The temple will provide paper and plastic goods, potato latkes and pizza. Everything else is potluck. Items needed are sodas, salads, apple sauce and sour cream for the latkes. Main dishes should not contain pork or shellfish. Bring a Chanukkiah with candles if available. Rabbi Les Scharnberg will lead in holiday prayer, songs and stories. The event is open to the public and children are welcome. Call (541) 813-0009 for information. |
