Congress' art contest open to local students

Del Norte County high school students can enter artwork in the 26th annual Congressional Art Competition. A winner from the first congressional district represented by Congressman Mike Thompson, D-Calif. will travel to a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Winning works decorate the Capitol for a year. Students can submit one entry measuring 30-inches by 30-inches, including the frame, by March 30. Categories include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photos, computer images and mixed media.
