Paramedics Christopher Hunt and Liz Ponder give a gift at Crescent City Nursing and Rehabiliation. Submitted
Del Norte Ambulance continued its tradition of providing gifts to the residents of Crescent City Nursing and Rehabilitation last month, handing out dozens of presents, to the delight of individuals at the facility.
In the past, crewmembers have delivered hand-made pillows. This year, residents were given “caddies” that can be hooked over a bed rail and can hold items such as a television remote, reading glasses and other small items.
“This is something we really enjoy doing,” said Del Norte Ambulance president and paramedic Ron Sandler. “It’s always nice to see the smiles.”
The annual event has been going on for more than a decade.
