Chelsea George of Philomath, Ore., and Sterling Standring of Crescent City, are engaged to be married Oct. 28, 2011, at the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portland, Ore.
Chelsea is the daughter of Lonny and Mary George of Philomath. She is a 2009 graduate of Philomath High School and is employed in her family’s food service and sales business.
Sterling, a 2006 graduate of Del Norte High School, is the son of Jim and Lori Standring of Crescent City. He attended Brigham Young University, studying exercise science and pre-dentistry, and also College of the Redwoods, Eureka, where he’s been playing for the Corsairs football team. Currently he is employed at the dental office of James C. Standring in Crescent City.
A local reception will be held on Nov. 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the LDS Church, 1031 A St. Friends are welcome to attend.
After a honeymoon in Oahu, Hawaii, the couple will return to Crescent
City for the holidays, and then move to Utah to resume studies at BYU.
