Event set to help buy new uniforms

Got any spare change?

The Del Norte High Cheer Boosters Club is holding a “Quarter Craze” fundraiser Saturday to put its cheerleaders into new uniforms.

The fun starts at 5 p.m. at Mary Peacock Elementary School, 1720 Arlington, Crescent City. Event-goers can purchase food from the taco/nacho and dessert bars and check out dozens of items that are up for auction.

Bids cost from one and three quarters apiece  —  hence the name “Quarter Craze.” The auction starts at 6 p.m.

Those who show up in costumes or their best fall attire will be entered into a special drawing.

Cost to attend is $5 if you register in advance or $6 at the door, assuming it’s not sold out.

To get more information or register, go to facebook.com/DNpartygirls, or call Roxanne Garman at 218-7822 or Lesley Plunkett at 951-0018.
