A one-day class to provide the training and testing required to obtain a Food Safety Manager Certificate will be offered Jan. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. at the Del Norte Workforce Center, 286 M St.
Three other classes will be available in 2014: Feb. 26, June 4 and Sept. 17.
The certificate is valid for five years for those who pass the exam.
Cost for the class is $135, cash or check, with a $5 fee if paying by credit card.
California law requires at least one owner/manager in a food establishment to hold a current certificate.
