Got milk? Prizes offered for pics of teens’ breakfasts

High school students in Del Norte County have a chance to win $1,000 simply by snapping a photo of their breakfast.

The California Milk Processor Board, creator of the “Got Milk?” advertising campaign, invites California teens 13–18 years old to participate in the Breakfast Challenge. Students should post a picture of their breakfast with milk on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag the image using the hashtag #gotmilkinmybreakfast.

The three photos with the most likes on the Facebook contest page will win cash prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive $1,000 and two runners-up will each receive a $200 gift card.

This is the board’s seventh annual Breakfast Challenge to remind students that eating breakfast helps them do better in school. The Breakfast Challenge runs from August to
