The Watershed Stewards Project is calling for volunteers to remove trash and invasive plants from the banks of the Klamath River on Saturday.

The cleanup is sponsored by the Yurok Tribe and the AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project.

Volunteers will receive breakfast, a t-shirt and a tote bag. They will also be treated to a salmon lunch, which will feature a raffle of prizes from local donors.

Gloves will be provided. Volunteers are advised to wear clothes and boots that can get dirty.

The cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. at the Yurok Tribe’s main office in Klamath at 190 Klamath Blvd.
