Nurses for You helps patients stay at home

Nurses For You, Inc., is a privately owned business that was started in 1998 and is located on West Hoffeldt Lane in Harbor.

The function is to place caregivers in homes whose skills range from unlicensed caregivers to Registered Nurses. The goal is to assist people to remain in their homes for as long as they desire or are physically able to do so. Nurses for You also offers in-home foot care and pedicures.

Nancy Greiman, RN, took over ownership of the company from Marilyn Deards in October 2003. Greiman has been involved in home health and doctors-office nursing since moving here ten years ago. You may also have seen her in the community doing physicals for life insurance applicants.

Nurses For You has a source of qualified and available caregivers who can provide a variety of services that assist people in maintaining independence in their homes. The agency has a staff of 24 employees who are all part-time and on call.

Nurses For You is a licensed, bonded and insured agency. The agency is paid directly by the client. Those who are eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance are guided to these sources.

Services are provided from one to 24 hours daily, according to client needs. Nurses for You also has live-in caregivers available. A free assessment is done by an RN to determine those needs.

For information contact Nurses For You, Inc., 16209 W. Hoffeldt Lane, Brookings. The telephone number is (541) 469-0212. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5p.m., but Greiman can be reached 24 hours a day by calling the office number.
