Our Daily Bread Ministries says it's making progress in its goal to open up a facility to feed and help locals in need of food and services.
The Christian-based organization has installed a floor in its facility at 1135 Harrold St. and has a kitchen en route for the building.
It has also received a unanimous approval from Del Norte County Planning Commission to allow its opening the facility.
Besides readying its facility for its expected clientele, Our Daily Bread offers drug and alcohol recovery classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 p.m., discipleship-oriented religion classes from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, a Christian 12-step program Fridays at 10 a.m. and Narcotcs Anonymous meetings Mondays and Fridays from 8-9 p.m.
It is also attempting to become permitted to install showers. Contact 464-7771.
