For the fourth consecutive summer North Coast Redwood Interpretive Association will conduct programs each Sunday beginning next month and continuing through August.
Programs are slated for Tolowa Dunes State Park, Lake Earl Willife Area and Point St. George.
First up is a wildflower identification walk with California State Park botanist Laura Julian from 1-4 p.m. June 3.
Other events include programs on native plants, dune and wetland ecology, habitat hikes, Audobon bird walks and Tolowa cultural tours.
Co-sponsors include California Native Plant Society, Friends of the Dunes, Redwood Region Audobon Society and Tolowa Dunes Stewards.
Tolowa Dunes State Park Nature Store and Lake Earl Wildlife Area Visitor Center, 2591 Old Mill Road, will be open during the programs. Coffee, a nature store, free trail maps, birding and native plant information and a collection of books and nature items are available. Contact 465-6191.
