Photographers gain exposure

 First place and an $800 prize went to Laura Zugzda for “War Games.” Laura Zugzda This year’s show, comprising 101 photographs, was chosen from over 130 entries from a region extending from Florence, Ore., to Morrow Bay, Calif., and as far east as Mt. Shasta. The entries included black and white, color, film, digital, and a wide variety of subject matter. A total of $1,400 in awards were given. The winners are: • First place ($800), “War Games,” Laura Zugzda • Second Place ($250), “Any Storm in a Port,” Don Munson • Third Place, $150, “Bodie Barn Find,” Matt Niesen • Redwood Award ($200), “Redwood Trail,” Betty Fowler • Honorable mention, “Swindler,” Monica Carrasco; “Dancing on the Wind,” Betty Depee; “Key,” Dutch Dremann; “I Fix My Eye,” Laura Zugzda The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day at 140 Marine Way.
