Pumpkin patch open; dance slated for Saturday tell us about your even

Had a good scare lately?

Chills “X,” a Halloween dance and costume party benefitting the Del Norte High Football Boosters, will be held Saturday at the Crescent City Cultural Center, 1001 Front St.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and the party ends at 1 a.m. Costume judging will be at 10 p.m., with prizes awarded in various categories. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Presale tickets are available at the business presenting the event, 6 Degrees of Celebration, 909 Third St., Crescent City.

If you prefer to celebrate the season in daytime hours, a pumpkin patch is open daily, with free hay rides on weekends, at 1690 Morehead Road. School tours are welcome.
