Rotary’s awards go to youths

The Rotary Club of Crescent City has awarded its annual Spirit of Rotary Awards to local elementary and middle school students.

The awards went to Samantha Alanis at Bess Maxwell Elementary, Hailey Price at Pine Grove Elementary, Chole Taylor at Uncharted Shores Academy, Jazmine Dugan and Luis Marquez at Joe Hamilton Elementary, Tyler Winogradov at Redwood School, Cameron Cain at Smith River, and Cameron Jones and Princess Vang at Crescent Elk.

The award is made for high ethical standards, a commitment to service to others and strong leadership skills.

Each student received an award that states: “Rotary exists ‘to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.’ This award acholwledges your embodiment of this philosophy.”
