Local art lovers will have a chance to view works from local students starting Friday.
The Gallery of Arts and Culture in Crescent City will feature art from Del Norte’s youth. The two-week long show will feature drawings, paintings, beadwork, pottery, ceramics, photos and sculptures.
The students participating in the show come from local public, charter and private schools, according to the press release. Students who are home-schooled are also included.
The opening reception on Friday from 5–7 p.m. will feature the famous Graffiti Wall, music, food and drinks.
Art show participants must have their art delivered to the gallery. The work must be matted and ready to hang with a hanging apparatus on the back. The student’s name, grade, school, title of artwork and price must be written on the back of the art.
The Gallery of Arts and Culture is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call Barbara Burke at 464-4745 or Erica Moore at 460-0207.
