Thanks: Plack lauds Women’s Club

The Crescent City Police Department would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Crescent City Women’s Club for its recent donation to our K-9 Unit. From its initial involvement in January 2005, when the group first sponsored a tremendously successful K-9 benefit to the present day, the Women’s Club assistance has been indispensable to the founding of and continued operation of the Department’s K-9 Unit.

Through its continued support over the years, the Department has been able to accomplish many achievements and has reached several of its goals, especially those related to getting drugs and criminals off our streets.

The Women’s Club has always been of great help to this program and we are so thankful that the members realize that the only way this and other special programs can flourish is through supporters such as their organization that believe in advancing law and order through progressive and specialized law enforcement programs. Because of their generous donation and support, the K-9 Unit will continue to flourish and move forward as we strive to make our community a safer place for all who live, work, or visit our beautiful city.
