In honor of the fifth annual National POW/MIA Recognition Day, a ceremony was held at Crescent City's Veteran's Memorial Flag on Friday. Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Gulf War read names of soldiers who were Prisoners of War or Missing in Action in each war. Black balloons with the POW/MIA insignia that contained the names of POWs and MIAs were released.
