North Coast Redwood Interpretive Association and Friends of the Dunes invite nature and plant lovers to join naturalist Jenny Hanson from 1-4 p.m. Sunday to learn about native dunes plants. Wear sturdy walking shoes, long-sleeved shirt and pants, and bring water and snacks. The association hosts a program about pelicans from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Wildlife biologist and pelican researcher Deborah Jaques will present a slide show about the birds, then lead a field trip to look for pelicans. Both events are at Lake Earl Wildlife Area Headquarters, 2591 Old Mill Road. Contact 465-6191.
