UIHS welcomes new facility CEO

United Indian Health Services Incorporated is pleased to announce that Vida Khow, who holds a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, will be joining the staff at UIHS as the Chief Executive Officer.

Khow has 18 years of nursing experience and was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Winslow Indian Health Center in Arizona. She has vast administrative experience and has pioneered many programs.

Being a successful Navajo woman, she combined her wisdom of her native roots and established the first Indian Traditional Medicine Program in Indian Health Service.

Khow has worked within a California Indian health care facility where the facility received the “Clinic of the Year Award” from the California Rural Indian Health Board.

The UIHS Board of Directors and staff look forward to welcoming Khow to Humboldt and Del Norte counties.

Khow assumed the chief executive officer duties at UIHS on June 20. Join us in welcoming Khow by calling (707) 825-5000.
