Tsunami evacation routes for Crescent City

Crescent City's run-up zone is divided into five areas. Those areas,what buildings must be evacuated and the evacuation routes include:

•Area 1: Fifth Street to the beach, west to the ocean and east to D Street.

Evacuate via A Street north to 9th Street.

Key structures that must be evacuated include:

•Lakeside Apartments, 455C St.

•Waste Water Treatment Facility, 200 Howe Drive

• Del Norte Community Health Clinic, 200 A St.

•Motel at Front and A Street

•B Street Pier

•Otten Distributing, Front and D Streets

•Otten Tank Far, 100 Howe Drive

•Battery Point Lighthouse, 100 A St.

•A Street Medical Clinic

•Area 2: 5th Street south to the beach, west to D Street and east to H Street.

Evacuate via D or H streets north to Ninth Street.

Key structures to be evacuated include:

•Saint Joseph School, Church and Parish, Fourth and E streets, Crescent Arms Apartments, 143 E St.

•Teamsters Apartments, Front Street between H and I Streets

•Nazarene Church, 224 F St.

•Silvias Attic/Purple Barn, 140 G St.

Area 3 5th Street south to the beach, west to H Street and east to L Street (U.S. Hwy. 101)

Evacuate via H or M streets northbound to Ninth Street.

Key structures that must be evacuated are:

•Surf Apartments, 108 H St.

•National Parks Building, 100 K St.

•Fred Endert Swimming Pool, 100 Play St.

•Cultural Center/Chamber of Commerce, 1001 Front St.

• Area 4: Sixth Street south to Elk Creek, west to L Street (U.S. Hwy. 101) and east to the city limits

Evacuate via M Street (U.S. Hwy. 101) north to Ninth Street. Key structures that must be evacuated include:

•Jed Smith Shopping Center, 400 Block of M Street

•Ray's Shopping Center, 600 Block of M Street

•Texaco Gas, 200 L St.

•Motels in the area

• Area 5: U.S. Hwy. 101 from Elk Creek south, east and west to the city limits

Those north of Elk Valley Road will evacuate south to Elk ValleyRoad, then east. Those south of Elk Valley Road will evacuate south,out of the city limits. Key structures to be evacuated include:

•Shoreline Campground, 900 Sunset Circle

•Renner Petroleum, 255 U.S. Hwy. 101 S.

•Cash Oil, 300 Hwy. 101 S.

•Union 76/Redwood Mini-Mart Gas, 317 Hwy. 101 S.

•Chevron Gas, 315 Hwy. 101 S.

•Motels in area
