I have to say that I am enamored over the progress over the clean-up and redevelopment of the Square Deal property just as I am with the Front Street property (Letter to the Editor "Milk toast architecture shouldn't be this city's goal," Nov. 23). These properties along with the old ice plant purchased by the owners of Northwoods were eye sores for such a long time and cleaning all of the properties alone have given visitors notice and made some of us locals more proud of our little town. To all of the local investors that have put your money where your mouth is, thank you. Just cleaning up these blighted properties should make us all proud of living in a cleaner town.
In closing, thank you Mr. Fearing and Mr. Harrison and the owners of the Northwoods for cleaning up some of the worst eye sores that all visitors see when driving through on U.S. Hwy. 101. You should all be "People Of The Year" this year. There might be "highly experienced architects" with great visions for Crescent City, but I do not hear of any projects they are investing in here.
