Letters: Attempt to increase sewer rates being done unfairly

All fairness has been flushed.

Over 65 percent of Crescent City property is non-owner occupied. Approximately 20 percent of those are receiving rent subsidy. This means that 35 percent of Crescent City residents are not only unable to pass on their $70 a month sewer rates plus yearly bonds, but also have to assist about 400 families in paying theirs through taxes.

Once again the givers are being punished and the takers rewarded.
