Letters: Cat stuck in high tree finally came down on her own

My kitty, "Last One," made it down out of the tree on her own. She's very emaciated and weak, but she's alive.

I really would like to thank all the people who were very kind and helpful throughout this ordeal: Our Fire Chief, Steve Wakefield, who brought out his crew and ladder truck, a tree service person, Joe Gartland, who climbed so high to try and rescue her. KCRE and the Triplicate for getting the word out about her plight.

There were many others who called and were concerned. They all wanted to help and I thank them all very much.

It makes living in our small community a blessing, knowing there's so many caring individuals out there.
