Letters: Citizens must take the lead in urging clean energy tax credits

It remains for us, ordinary citizens and newspaper readers, to do for our energy, gas prices and climate crises what Congress neglected when they left Washington last week.

We must write our newspapers, our elected officials, our talk show hosts, the truths that our elected have been ducking. These include their inability to renew clean energy tax credits, which means that government incentive programs to support solar and wind industries will expire at the end of this year, so jobs will be lost.

All of our electricity can come from clean sources within 10 years, some say two years with wholehearted cooperation. We can escape the fate of an uninhabitable planet for our descendants.
