After reading in the Feb. 8 edition about a gunman opening fire at a City Council meeting in a St. Louis suburb, my question to our county and city leaders is, when are you going to protect yourselves and the general public when they attend your public meetings?
Recently I attended a meeting where a person spoke whom I did not feel safe around. There was not a member of law enforcement at the meeting. Why?
Maybe it's time for both the county and city together to purchase the protection equipment to make the Flynn Center safe for meetings.
