Letters: Diabetic Support Group observes first anniversary

The Diabetic Support Group observed its first anniversary on July 16; belated congratulations to the dedicated hosts: Linda Ball, Margie Godwin, Eileen Fairbrother, Doris Fetch, and Laura Gebleigh.

Since we have no physicians or clinics who specialize in diabetes in our area, we are fortunate these diabetic educators are willing to donate their time and expert knowledge to help diabetics.

The Diabetic Support Group hosts offer not only support for diabetics, but an education on diabetic health care with stacks of information to take home. And it is all free.

A special thank you to the hosts of the Diabetic Support Group and to the Elk Valley Rancheria for donating space for the meetings.
