Letters: Obama would have radically left, socialist presidency |
So what would an Obama presidency look like? His speech in Berlin gives us some clues. Obama is a self-prescribed "citizen of the world." These are code words, as Frank J. Gaffney Jr. writes, for anyone who "seeks to subordinate national sovereignty and constitutional arrangements to a higher power." And that higher power, under this rabid socialist president, would be the inept and corrupt United Nations. Obama said "this is our moment." With a Democratic Congress, he would have full reign to remake America after a Marxist ideology of income confiscation and redistribution. His oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States" would just be a trite, hollow formality. As Obama openly admitted, "Our allegiance has never been to any particular tribe or kingdom." Oh, really? No allegiance to any particular tribe or kingdom? Why did he attend an "Afrocentric" church for 17 years whose self-proclaimed allegiance is to the continent of Africa? Obama's speech is peppered throughout with language of the radical left. His references to "economic justice." are Marxian code for "compulsory income redistribution." This is simply, in his words, the "burden of global citizenship" and "is not a choice." And how will Obama's plan to "remake the world" reach into your back pocket? It's called "The Global Poverty Act." This is LBJ's "war on poverty" on steroids. "It must be a priority of American foreign policy," his office has stated, "to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter, and clean drinking water." Think of America's school lunch program on a world scale, funded by the United States, or "us." Clark Wade Crescent City |
