Letters: Palin unqualified to bevice president; Biden is ready |
I had to laugh at Sarah Palin's acceptance speech on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Palin has been chosen by McCain as his vice presidential candidate. To my knowledge and experience as a voter, Mrs. Palin seems to be a token nominee, and a pawn in a not-so-nice chess game. Mrs. Palin did not address the woeful state of the economy, nor the need for affordable health care for working people. She has no real experience in global politics. It's also quite likely she'll not be welcome as a negotiator in the Middle East. Most of those countries think a woman is below their consideration. She simply is not qualified to be our vice president. Joseph Biden is. With an election coming up, I ask myself, what will truly benefit the working families of America? McCain-Palin? Or a new idea? It is the privilege of every American citizen of age to vote our choice. Let us hope it's a good choice to rebuild America's infrastructure and to stop the demise of the working class.
