Letters: Silly Susie's characters may not be legal to display on truck

I believe, you published a letter regarding the Silly Susie ice cream truck and the difficulties the owner is having in selling her product in particular areas of town (Letter to the Editor, July 13). The letter writer indicated the lady was an upstanding, law abiding, good girl. I have no doubt that she may, indeed, aspire to be such a woman. But, does she have the permission of Suzy's Zoo Studios for the use of Suzy Spafford's characters? Or, is she completely oblivious to copyright infringement laws? I suggest she contact www.suzyszoo.com and check into licensing or obtaining permission to use any of the over 500 characters. Otherwise, paint something else on her truck.
