Letters: Mill Creek Canyon area a beautiful part of our history

Great article on Mill Creek canyon Saturday ("Climbing Hobbs Wall," Nov. 22). It really is a special area. I worked back there as a logger when it was owned my Miller-Rellium.

Even then I marveled how beautiful it was and so close to Crescent City. Two years ago my son and I hiked from the campground gate down to the creek and then followed Mill Creek out to Hamilton Road. So much history has gone on there, and it was such a large part of Del Norte County's history. Now it sits silent waiting for more of us to appreciate its beauty.

But, I do think it should only be accessible by walking.
