Choice of Butler smacks of a  sea change with City Council

Sadly, I’d grade past city councils’ performances in choosing city managers as lazy and seriously flawed. However, the choice of Mr. Rod Butler smacks of a sea change.

Could it be that our “new” City Council has finally made the right choice? I believe so, for as a community we have all the resources. Leadership is all that’s been missing for too many years.

Good luck, Mr. Butler, now show us what you’re made of. Be the captain, take the helm.

As a closing thought on a theme for our area, I still think my suggestion of several years ago of a logo with a closed fist with its thumb raised has merit. “Thumbs Up Del Norte County” — a universally recognized gesture.
