Jim Maready: Special friend, special coach

One of the things that is great about Crescent City is the number of really outstanding people who donate so much time to the youth of this community.

One of those special people is Jim Maready. Most people remember Jim as our county sheriff, but Jim was much more than a good law officer. Jim is a 1962 graduate of Del Norte High School. While a Warrior he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track one year.

After graduation from Del Norte, Jim enrolled in Shasta College in Redding, where he received a degree in law enforcement.
