DN Gold reaches HSU Redwood Bowl in A and AA

Four Del Norte Youth Football teams took the field for the semifinals of the Six Rivers Youth Football Playoffs on Sunday, and the Warriors had two teams survive and advance to their respective championship games.

The AAA Warriors’ season came to an end in Hoopa with a with a 30-0 loss at the hands of Fortuna Blue.

In AA it was an all-Warrior showdown with Del Norte Blue playing Del Norte Gold in the semifinals in Hoopa. Gold won the game 27-6 to earn a spot in the HSU Redwood Bowl against Eureka on Saturday with a noon kickoff.

In A, Del Norte Gold cruised by Hoopa 32-7 in its semifinal showdown. The Warriors will also face Eureka in the HSU Redwood Bowl on Sunday. Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m.
