Three fighters from the Crescent City training club Fighting Gym Rats won their respective weight divisions at the So You Wanna Fight event held Saturday night at Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Trinidad.

Two fighters won by unanimous decision: Matt Chadwick of Crescent City defeated Johny Yang of Sacramento in the 146-155 weight class, and Miguel Romero of Crescent City defeated Kevin Andrews of Eureka in the heavyweight division.
The 186-205 weight class pitted two Crescent City fighters — Meng Lo and Matthew Watt — against each other.
“It was the fight of the night (for us),” Fighting Gym Rats trainer Ron Otremba said. “I got on the mic and pumped the crowd up (for the bout).”
Lo got the better of Watt in winning by split decision.
