DN baseball team drops 2 games in Fortuna

The Del Norte High baseball team’s league openers did not go well last weekend.
The Warriors dropped both ends of a double-header to Fortuna, losing 10-0 and 6-1. The season has been frustrating off the field with the rain postponing games and frequently forcing the team to practice indoors. Del Norte was scheduled to play in a three-day tournament starting today in Santa Rosa, but that event was cancelled Wednesday. The Warriors’ next scheduled game is April 18 at McKinleyville, but there is the possibility that games postponed earlier this season could be rescheduled before then.
