The Del Norte High girls soccer team lost 5-0 to St. Bernard’s of Eureka at home on Wednesday.

The Crusaders took a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half and added three more goals in the second half for the win.

Warriors head coach Clar Byers said St. Bernard’s had good speed up front, which they used to their advantage.

“They just outran our defense,” he said.

Del Norte fell to 0-3 for the season.

“We’re still learning, growing,” Byers said.

The team next plays at home on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. against South Fork.
