DNHS golf squad takes 2nd in HDN |
The Del Norte High boys golf team finished the Humboldt-Del Norte Conference season in second place. The Warriors ended the HDN season taking second at a meet in Eureka on Wednesday. McKinleyville, which ended the HDN in first place, also came out on top at the final event in Eureka. Warrior senior Luke Polidore finished the year in second place overall and was only two shots behind the top placer, head coach Kirk Burrows said. “He did a good job,” Burrows said. Next Monday, the entire Del Norte team will play in a Northcoast Section qualifier event in the Bay Area. For the Warriors, James Morrow took 7th overall in the HDN. Anthony Kravitz came in 12th while Christan Cain was 14th and Dillon Wright came in 15th. Morgan Fischer finished in 28th place. On Monday, Polidore took first place at an HDN meet at Bigfoot Golf Course in Willow Creek. He finished with a score of 68. Del Norte took second at the meet. Kravitz finished with a 77 on Monday. Morrow and Cain both finished with a score of 80. Wright finished with an 84 and Morgan Fischer shot an 87.
