Del Norte JV baseball

The Del Norte High junior varsity baseball team remained undefeated with a 10-0 win over Brookings on Thursday at home. The win improves the Warriors to 6-0 for the season. Freshman Travis Stacey, pictured above, had an exceptional game as he threw a no-hitter and had five strikeouts, head coach John Valdez said. The game was called at 10-0 because of the mercy rule after the fifth inning, but both coaches decided to play two more innings, which Valdez said did not count toward the official score of the game. Brookings scored two runs in the two innings, while Del Norte scored none. Shane Endamono went 3-for- 4 with four RBIs and four stolen bases. (The Daily Triplicate/Bryant Anderson).
