The Del Norte High boys tennis team took care of business on Tuesday, defeating Fortuna on the road 6-3.
The Warriors improved to 4-3 in league play with the victory.
The teams previously met on March 13, with Fortuna prevailing 7-2.
In the first match on Tuesday, Blake Polidore defeated Cole Demello 6-3, 6-2.
Head coach Kirk Olesen said Polidore played "his finest tennis of the year," and "used his penetrating ground strokes in the blustery conditions to thoroughly dominate Cole."
In the second match, David Standring won against Lewie Deak 7-6, (7-3), 4-5, RET. Olesen said the match ended early when Deak suffered an ankle injury and was unable to continue. He commended Standring for "tremendous sportsmanship as he literally carried his fallen opponent to the sidelines."
In the third match, the Warrior Ben Tell got the win 6-1, 5-7, 7-5, against Josh Sarvinski.
In the fourth match, Tyler Pitman of Del Norte fell to Matt Deems 6-3, 7-5. Deems is undefeated for the year.
In the fifth match, Chad Richins of Del Norte won his match against Garett Farnsworth 6-3, 6-1.
Joel Bruhns lost his match to Dillon Poe of Fortuna 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles action, Polidore and Standring won 8-6 over Demello and Deems.
The Warriors lost 8-3 as Farnsworth and Sarvinski defeated Tell and Pitman. In the final doubles match, Richins and Bruhns won against Michael Olkin and Devin Brooks 8-2.
