The Warriors will host the second-to-last Humboldt-Del Norte league meet of the season on Monday, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Del Norte Golf Course.
Del Norte sophomore Kobie Lockwood has put himself in a strong position to win the individual league title through the first three meets.
Lockwood is currently undefeated and holds a 20-stroke lead on Eureka’s Logan Olsen and a 21-stroke lead on Olsen’s teammate Aaron Russell.
As a freshman, Lockwood won the individual title by 11 stokes.
On Saturday, the Warriors will have five teams in action, all on the road.
Both the boys and girls track and field teams are headed to Central Valley High School for the John Frank Invitational.
The Warriors will see a few familiar faces at the meet, with Eureka, McKinleyville and Southern Trinity expected to attend. There will also be plenty of new competition with a total of 40 teams scheduled to attend.
The baseball and softball teams will also be together on the road, traveling to McKinleyville. Both teams will play doubleheaders against the Panthers beginning at 11 a.m.
The tennis team will enter the postseason in the Humboldt-Del Norte singles championships on Saturday in Fortuna. The Warriors will be a little shorthanded, however, as their number one player, Alec Westbrook will be out due to spring break.
