Del Norte Junior Kelsy Hintz finished in sixth in the elite division in the girls pole vault at the Stanford Invitational Track meet in Palo Alto on Friday.

Hintz made a jump of 11 feet.

On Wednesday at the Del Norte Track Meet, Hintz was able to jump 12 feet.

Warrior track and field head coach Scott Lindsay said it was not her best jump and "she just had an off day."

Today, Hintz will be participating in a pole vault camp in the San Luis Obispo area.

She was the only Del Norte team member who competed on Friday.

Today, several other Warriors will compete.

Taylor Duncan, who finished in first at the Del Norte meet in the boys pole vault will compete in that event in Palo Alto.

Rebecca Cink will take part in the discus throw, while Rachel Cink will partake in the 400-meter relays.

Jessica Slayton, who won the high jump at the Del Norte meet, will compete in the event at Stanford.

Bailee McCulloch will participate in the 400-meter dash. She won the event on Wednesday in Crescent City.

Bryce Lund was going to participate at the meet, but a tailbone injury is keeping him out, Lindsay said.
