Hintz takes second in pole vault for SDSU

Kelsey Hintz had a strong performance in the pole vault for San Diego State University last Saturday.

Hintz, a 2008 Del Norte High School graduate, finished second with a personal-best indoor pole vault of 12 feet, 11½ inches at the NAU Open in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Hintz and the SDSU team next compete on Friday at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.

Last season as a sophomore Hintz competed in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, and she is the defending Mountain West outdoor track and field pole vault champion.
